Most of the questions people ask me are mostly about what I feel as a senior in university. Sometimes I find it hard to give an immediate answer to them, but I can easily tell that being a senior is relatively hard when compared with other university students. By the way, it has much more importance when the language teaching is considered, because we know that our mission is not the same as others.
Language teaching is widely accepted as important as language learning. One may come across with different difficulties while learning a language. However, as language teachers, the most vital role, without any hesitation, is for teachers. Especially in Turkey, where many language learners don't have enough chance to improve themselves, language teachers are key elements in teaching.
Being the 4th grade student in an ELT department requires many responsibilities. First of all, we should be ready for many different harsh conditions in public schools. Lots of the students lack of background knowledge about English. Even most of the language teachers have some fossilized mistakes. As candidate teachers, in order to get rid of such kind of problems, we should be dedicated and idealistic.
By the help of education, and pedagogic information we've taken in colleges, we are tied to this idea. Ready and enthusiastic.
